Prof. M. Jonathan Hayes began teaching at the University of West Los Angeles in 2002 when the school bought the San Fernando Valley campus of the University of Laverne.  He had taught at LaVerne since 1989.  Prior to that he taught for four years at Whittier Law School.

Prof. Hayes has taught Business Organizations for the past 11 years.  He has also taught basic bankruptcy classes about 20 times as well as other classes such as Taxes, Contracts, Real Property, and Civil Procedure.

Prof. Hayes is a bankruptcy specialist, certified by the Legal Specialization Board of the State Bar of California.
